VAL Founder/Director of Sponte Sua Gym
Former Gymnast: Mrs. Val Hoppichler started gymnastics at the age of 6. Val is a former Metropolitan gymnast, had its beginnings at the GEBA Club, River Plate Club and later at Ciudad Buenos Aires Club, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. During her early years she was training at high performance level, and retired at the age of 18. She finished her gymnastics career with the title of Champion of Neuquen Province in 1993. This gold medal earned her the Honour of “Trompul” (Best sport person of the year) in Gymnastics.
Gymnastics Coach: Val had managed gymnastics clubs for over 20 years. While studying a BPE in sports science, she gain experience working with Argentinian national team coaches and a Russian Olympic coach, Rosa Ichkova, at the National Sport Centre of High Performance Training in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Once she finished her BPE, Val moved to Patagonia with her family and founded "Sponte Sua Gymnastics Centre". Years later she became a national gymnastics Judge in women artistic and coordinated the Regional Gymnastics tournament and trips with her club's men and women squads, wining Regional Championships and competing at National Gymnastics Championships around Argentina (2008-9).
Sport Coach - PE Teacher career. Val works in independent and states schools teaching gymnastics, athletics, swimming, basketball, handball, Volleyball, softball, dance, hockey, football, netball. Has an international degree -CSIA Level 3 Ski Instructor- with more than 15 years of work experience as Ski Instructor in Whistler-Blackcomb (Canada), Perisher Blue (Australia), Chapelco and Ushuaia (Argentina), Valle Nevado (Chile).
London and SSG: In 2010 Val moved to London, to perform her dance, acting and coaching career while working in gymnastics. Today she is working and focus full time on her company Sponte Sua Gymnastics- SSL-. She is a member of British Gymnastics with the folloiwg BG awards level 4 Senior Women Artistic Gymnastics Coach, Level 3 Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach and level 1 general-club judge in BG.
Val si also Volunteer at London Gymnastics as Southern Competition Organiser/Support for GFA -Floor and Vault-.
Languages: Fluent in English, Spanish. Basic Italian, Portuguese and French. Learning German.
Personal interests: Golf -charities and ladies competitions- and current Member of a Ladies Golf committee in Surrey. Other interestes are Home decor, graphic design, event planer, travelling, friends and family dinners.
